Arnold Kamler
Chairman and CEO, Kent International, Inc.
Arnold Kamler is the chairman and CEO of Kent International. After graduating from American University in Washington, D.C., Kamler joined Kent in June 1972, working in their customer service department. In 1974, Kamler worked to help write what would become the first bike regulations from the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Kamler was named company president in 1980 and was later named chairman and CEO in 1994.
In 2014, Kamler oversaw the opening of two factories in South Carolina to assemble bicycles domestically, and in 2016 helped spearhead Kent’s acquisition of Univega, offering bikes made in the U.S. and sold exclusively at IBDs. Kent was named Walmart’s “Supplier of the Year” in 2020.
