Chief Executive Officer, Santa Cruz Bicycles and Chief Operating Officer, Pon.Bike North America
Joe Graney is both the COO of Pon.Bike North America and the CEO of Santa Cruz Bicycles, which means he's responsible for making and delivering some of the world's fastest bikes for athletes and enthusiasts alike. Graney has spent most of his life around bikes — from a childhood paper route on a BMX bike, to designing World Cup downhill mountain bikes, to working at bike shops, to his current role leading several well known cycling brands, whose products have been ridden to multiple World Championship and Grand Tour podiums. After growing up in his family's machining business in suburban Boston, Graney has supported local manufacturing and sustainable business practices for many years. At Santa Cruz Bicycle's solar-powered headquarters in Santa Cruz California, high performance bicycles are built and shipped globally at a facility that employs more than 300 people. Graney also championed the company's role in promoting cycling advocacy, especially trail building and increasing mountain bike access on public lands. Graney holds a mechanical engineering degree from Northeastern University in Boston and lives in Santa Cruz with his daughters Lily and Margo.
