BIKE RIDES

Shootout Group Ride
Taking place every Saturday morning, the Shootout was named one of the best group rides in the country by Bicycling Magazine. The ride starts from the University of Arizona mall on University between Park and Euclid at 6:30 a.m. The ride rolls out easy for the first 10 miles but once the ride crosses Valencia it is game on. Get ready for a fast bike ride! The ride ranges in size from 60 to 150+ riders.
Saguaro National Park
9000 S. Parker Canyon Road, Elgin, AZ, 85611
Saguaro East and Pistol Hill is a classic Tucson ride with spectacular views and fun, twisty turns with a solid climb in the middle. The highlight is Saguaro East National Monument, which boasts one of the largest populations of Saguaro Cacti in the world. Pistol Hill is a short climb at the end of the out and back that offers a great view of the Tucson Valley and the Santa Rita Mountain Range. Distances range from 48-65+ miles with approximately 2,500-3,500 feet of climbing.
Gates Pass
Tucson Mountain Park, AZ, 85745
With distances ranging from 32-42 miles with 500-1,500 feet of climbing, you can join this ride at different points along the loop. Regardless of which route you choose, we recommend finishing up at El Mercado and having lunch at Seis Kitchen.
parker canyon lake
3693 S Old Spanish Trail, Tucson, AZ, 85730
Head into the beautiful grasslands of Southern Arizona at Parker Canyon Lake. This ride is 48 miles with 3,800 feet of climbing.
Mount Lemmon
E. Ski Run Road, Mt. Lemmon, AZ, 85619
Biking up Mount Lemmon Highway is an epic ride that will rival some of the best climbs across the country. Mile markers and elevation signs mark your progress, while the amazing views up to the high alpine forest help take your mind off the uphill challenge. You’ll ascend nearly 5,500 feet, climbing at a 5-8% grade over the 20.8 miles, finishing in the small ski town of Summerhaven. The reward for your efforts is a fun descent on the impeccable pavement with long, sweeping turns.
THe loop
Tucson, AZ, 85701
131 miles of trail parallel dry riverbeds on pristine blacktop with minimal climbing that links together all of Tucson. Learn more at tucsonloop.org
